 Rates
Call for current rates. The first month in due in advance of the training and subsequent payments are due each month unless other arrangements are agreed on. If you request me to hunt your dog/s on wilds birds during hunting season the cost is much higher and variable depending on traveling to hunting areas.
Birds shot for dogs are extra as well as veterinary services. In case your dog might need a veterinary I would take them to Bloomsburg Veterinary Hospital. I have used their outstanding service since 1972 and fully trust their service and care.

Hunting Area
If you wish to take your dog home temporarily for weekends, holidays, vacations, etc. please call ahead to let us know of your plans.

Hunt Test Training for Retrievers
Hunt test training starts and never ends for your dog. Your success is my success so not only do I work with advancing your dog I am fully committed to make sure you succeed also. There is no substitute for time and experience and every year I continue to lean more and new things regarding dogs and training.

Waterfowl training.
It takes 2-3 months to have your pup ready for the up coming duck season . In that time we will have them conditioned retrieved trained- worked on single and double hand thrown marks- retrieving from land and water through decoys using bumpers and birds with the use of zinger wingers and additional help - obedience trained to heel sit stay and come and collar conditioned. Hand signals take additional 3-5 months if they are able to progress to that point. Training can continue from year to year at cross creek and I encourage owners to bring their dog back for pre season tune ups and conditioning.

Upland Hunting for Spaniels and Retrievers/
In as little as 4-6 weeks your dog will be introduced to hunting birds in a variety of cover from fields to woods. I mostly use game birds in this program and all birds shot for a dog are extra. Additional time is required for retrieval training and steady to flush and shot. I do not recommend dogs used for upland hunting to be taught heel command, at least until it is determined what their natural hunting range is.

Pointing Dogs
In our program it takes 4-8 weeks to have them pointing and handling while turned lose. Additional time is needed to challenge them under many different weather conditioned, other words the more hunting practice they get and the more you challenge them on the bird work the better. Condition retrieve training and steady to wing and shot take additional time
